macOS permissions
Understand why Snappilot requests system access and how each permission is used.
Private by default
Snappilot processes your content locally. No account, analytics service, or cloud upload is involved.
Screen Recording
Required for screenshots and screen video. Snappilot receives pixels only when you start a capture.
Microphone and Camera
Optional permissions used only for narration, meetings, and webcam overlays. You can disable them at any time in System Settings.
Change permissions
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, select the relevant permission, and toggle Snappilot.
